From Isaiah 57, verse 15.

For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”

Due to some rather annoying events, I have recently had a chance to test out a new AI art generator, Bing Designer.

So lets see what it makes of these.

It’s been a while, so today I was in the mood for some peaceful fantasy art, and it gave me these…

This app give me four at once, so it makes this much faster than before.

Also, they’re nice! They’re interesting, I don’t see any weird bits, though the scenes themselves are a little odd, I asked for ‘art’ and not ‘landscapes’ so there you go.

Also the bible verses are weird prompts to start with I have to admit, but that what makes it interesting, at least to me…

The colours in these are really nice, the art styles are good too, quite a lot of detail. And I can certainly see the ‘lofty’ in some of these. At least 3 of them do have a ‘revive’ feel about them.

I’m sort of impressed by how much they look like actual scenes from a story, at least in 3 of them, there is actually something going on. The last one is more of a simple landscape, but the first three are action shots, which is interesting.

I wanted to see some more, so I did another set of these with the same prompt.

These ones are far less dramatic than the other ones, man with wings is still a vibe in some of them, which is fine. Less dramatic, more peaceful, except for the dragon, which I must admit is a highlight.

I mean seriously, I didn’t even ask it for a dragon, but it’s there, and It looks pretty cool. I like the dragon. Also for that particular image, there is also a tiny person there too, and it looks like, in my imagination at least, that he may indeed be there to fight the dragon, which adds a cool narrative in my head. I mean, he could be there so speak to it, I suppose, and that’s cool too, but…

Anyway, again, lovely colours. I’m getting sun sets/rises, mountains/hills and lots of clouds seem to be features of ‘peaceful’. Also most have similar colours to them, mostly misty blues and sunrise yellow gold, (sometimes it’s yellow, sometimes its orange, I’m calling it gold).

Now I’m curious, I wonder if peaceful has a colour scheme? Now I want to figure that out… later, later.

Now, to do a comparison, I went back with the prompt, and took out the ‘peaceful fantasy art of’ part, and just included verse 15, to see what it gave me with no extra bits.

This. This is good. Blue and gold strikes again. Suns, mountains, clouds. The themes are there. It’s a nice picture. The arbitrary planets in the background (or whatever those things in the sky are) are a nice touch. Even the composition is nice, and is that a guy standing on top of that hill?

And finally we have our first AI oddity. The words are back! It just couldn’t resist putting in the words. I have to say, it got pretty close in some places, but still not quite there… nice try.

And Mr Lofty is back in this one, which is a nice consistency. As are the planet things, and the words. These words are less good, and sort of look like Cyrillic, if you squint hard enough.

Otherwise the same features are there, the colours, the clouds, the sun, though it being in space does make this one a bit more fun.

And this one has almost got the words right, so close. So close.

Similar colours and the golden sunset tone is still there, as are the clouds, but this time instead of space, or a lake, we’re looking at Minas Tirith?

Not quite, but close. still the image is nice, and contains some of the classic features.

Just for fun, I also asked it to give me this verse but in abstract art instead, and this happened.

The colours and bits in the theme seem to be consistent even here which is nice. These are good, fairly abstract while sticking to the theme.

Again the colours are good, and the details in these are nice. They are several different styles and they’re pretty different which is fun.

Have a favourite?

So far, this new art generator is pretty good, the lack of strange oddities this far has been a little bit disappointing, in a certain way.

I’ll keep playing with it. Check it out if you want to.

In the meantime, enjoy these.
